From the neighbouring Italy hail Arthemis and thogh they are serving the scene since 1994, having released 5 albums so far, I’ve never heard of them. “Heroes” is their 6th album so far ( they have already released “Church Of Holy Ghost”-1999, “The Damned Ship”-2001, “Golden Dawn”-2003, “Back From The Heart”-2005 and  “Black Society”-2008). Music wise Arthemis are into heavy/power metal given through a more modern sound.

\r\nThis is one more release coming from Poland; it seems that the local scene is alive and it gets bigger and wider all the time.

\r\nAN AMAZING DEBUT\r\n

\r\n

\r\n-Allegaeon- is a band from  Colorado-USA, that plays a mix of Melodic and Technical Death Metal. The band has already released one EP in 2008 and now they are ready with their first full length.\r\n

\r\nNEW GERMAN TASTE \r\n

\r\n

\r\nGerman band - Cypecore- is playing a mix of Melodic Death Metal with Industrial feeling. As strange as it seems these guys are mixing these opposite sounds and the result is pretty good.\r\n

\r\n

\r\nThe band has just released the first album ,called - Innocent - and they are ready to spread their music ideas. The album has many good riffs, great leads,  nice bass and drumming, very good keyboards, nice Melodic Death vocals and very good production. Although this album is self-released these Deathsters did a good job. \r\n

\r\nReleasing five studio albums in eleven years is not a small thing. Throughout these years the band’s profile has changed a lot as the addition of Industrial and electro elements has changed her initially pure black/death music orientation. Others disapproved that and others supported this movement, especially those who were introduced to the band later on, and didn’t follow them from the beginning. Generally, though, they never had such a big promotion from the media so we can’t talk about a big fanbase, anyway..

Some of you (the older ones mostly) might remember the Dutch heavy metalers Picture that somewhere in the middle of the 80’s made a name for themselves by offering us amazing albums like “Diamond Dealer” and “Eternal Dark” (whose title track was also covered by Hammerfall) unfortunately in the late 80’s the members of the band parted ways to reunite 20 years later and to be more specific in 2008 and to release this beauty.

\r\nThe beginning was good, but what followed is even better. This is the second album for KARMIC LINK, a band that I really like for its special music style since its first steps and I am really glad that this release comes to prove me right.
\r\nIn fact, I am much more impressed compared to the first album, as they are on a better level composing-sounding wise and so is the production and the mixing, plus their progressive tentions are much more obvious this time and, in general, the band has made an essential progress.

\r\nI suppose that there’s no need for any special introduction about Ozzy,"The Prince Of Darkness", "The Madman" etc.

\r\nBRUTAL COMEBACK\r\n

\r\n

\r\nThree years since their latest release, -Severe Torture- returned with another brutal album ready to tear your ears apart !!\r\n

\r\n

\r\nThe new album has the title - Slaughtered- and it’s a great Brutal Death album with  great riffs, wonderful leads, nice bass, perfect Death Metal drumming and the brutal voice of Dennis in great condition. The production is very good and so is the cover of the album.\r\n

I never figured out why Immolation didn’t manage to make a name for themselves in the Death Metal scene. Maybe they are one of these bands that, when it comes to the above mentioned question the easy answer is “it just didn’t happened”. I don’t really thing that with “Majesty and Decay” they will succeed in what they’ve been struggling for 20 years now. That would be too optimistic and I’m not an optimistic person but this album, their first release under Nuclear Blast, sounds quite impressive. What we’ll listen to here? What else?
