\r\nLooking for Europeans Symphony X? Don’t search for the answer any more, Adagio is the answer to the question. Although they are not a new band, since they were established in 2000, with total releases of four studio albums and one live album, this year’s album is perhaps their best. Loyal to the musical "principles" that were set out by Michael Romeo, the French managed to provide a solid album, but without resulting to be a cheap copy of Symphony X.

Dimansion is another female fronted band who is serving the so called atmospheric gothic metal. The band is around from 2006 and besides a promo CD they have recorded previously (including “Come cover me” a Nightwish cover and a composition of their own called “Inner Hopes”) “Room one” is their first full length album. With obvious influences from bands like Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica and the like, they deliver a melodic gothic metal album, something “unusual” for a Greek band to play that genre.
\r\nThis album is a good reason for me to contemplate the past. I remember that a few years ago there were plenty of good power metal albums which confirmed the constant progress of this scene back then. For some reason beautiful memories revived coming from the not so distant past.
\r\nProphecy are of the bands that keep the flag of Bay Area Thrash high honoring their legacy like true California Thrashers do….But….wait a minute…what’s this here…. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil? No kiddin’ these guys here are more Bay Area than the Original Bay Area thrashers out there.
\r\nWhen I read the title of the album my reaction wasn’t that kind actually. I mean, “Dark Glitter”? What were they thinking? So I begun hypothesizing about the content of the cd but as soon as I begun listening to it, I totally changed my mind. It’s all about a total of really beautiful compositions with the ethereal and at the same time powerful voice of their singer and the very melodic dark riffs as the main characteristics which will appeal to you at once.

\r\nWhen we are talking about dark evil black metal there are many countries that we are thinking of. One of them is Poland with their evil bands like Behemoth and Vader.Poland has a tradition on this kind of bands and one of them is the band called - Hermh - that are playing since 1993 and they just released their new album called - Cold Blood Messiah-. \r\n

\r\nGreek band - The Source- released their debute album and a lot of people are going to notice something familiar to their sound.Thats because -The Source- are the known -Negative Creeps- band that changed their name and making a new start with Makis on Vocals,John and Stamatis on guitars,Tomek at the drums set and Atris on bass.\r\n
After the successful series of releases on melodic death metal and sleaze the Swedish strike on stoner too.
\r\nMustasch belong to that genre, though not entirely. If I confused you I will explain myself right away. Mustasch although considered a stoner band by many fans of the genre, they are not exactly that. I would say that they mix stoner sound with a rock’n’roll feeling while there are some heavy riffs here and there.
A Greek band that plays Doom Metal? During the past years there have been three, maybe four bands that achieved that. Despite the fact that Greece owns a wide and very good stoner scene, this doesn’t happen also for the Doom Metal scene.
\r\nSo these guys that hailing us from Thessalonica, try hard to play something that many bands have tried in the past with no any good results, but Orion’s Void did it. It’s all about traditional Doom metal, with a great pinch of lyricism, down tempo riffing and above all, the original Doom Metal feeling.
