\r\nBEAUTIFUL BRUTALITY\r\n \r\n
\r\nGerman Death Metal band - Lay Down Rotten - were formed back in 1999 as a solo project of mr.Daniel Jakobi.Soon he managed to change this solo-project to a band and till now they have already released two Demos and four full length albums. The last album -Reconquering the Pit -(2007) , was the first album that the band released through Metal Blade Records and they managed to spread their name worldwide and mainly in the U.S. Now , after two years these German Deathsters are back with their new work.\r\n
\r\nOnly the origin of the band is enough to have an idea about its music profile. Beyond The Dream come from Finland and this is their first full-length album, which is called “The Sin Against The Sinners”. It’s a Dark Metal album, actually based on the melodic side of the genre, while the main line that they follow musically includes both symphonic parts and black metal passages.
\r\nMy Silent Wake can be found where the wild side of death metal meets the melancholy of doom and the atmosphere of gothic meet. Rising from the ashes of the British Ashen Mortality, these dark figures release their third album after "Shadow of Sorrow" and "The Anatomy of Melancholy".The album is really far from what is called extreme, despite of the obvious tension to approach it.
Επιτέλους ένας καλός progressive rock δίσκος εν έτη 2009!!!
\r\nThis is the first album by the U.K. based band, FEN and I have to admit that this one got me from the first note! The reason must be the unique way these guys sound, a sound between black metal and post rock breaks , something close to the music of In The Woods or Agalloch.
Glittertind is a Norwegian based outfit that exists since 2001 and this album “Landkjenning” is their third full length release, According to their bio. Glittertind is a band that praises its homeland’s music and traditions with many folklore feeling and lyrics in Norwegian. Musically on the album we can find a mixture of folklore melodies and instruments with the classic rock / metal / punk feeling and instruments.
