Serpentcult is a doom metal outfit from Belgium that released their debut album, , “Weight Of Light” some time ago , through Rise Above Records. The members of the band are three ex members of the split up outfit Thee Plague of Gentlemen (Bassist, Guitarist, Drummer) plus the addition of Michelle behind the mic stand.
\r\nThunder set a fine example for these bands that stood the test of time. This one is their ninth release (their third under the label of Frontiers Records) in which they play exactly what they started playing 20 years ago. Classic Hard rock with 70’s influences. The compositions of this album are a mix of melodic hard rock/AOR but listening to the songs you will find some elements of 70’s rock and even country, something that makes the compositions sound variable and the whole album quite interesting.
