\r\nGermany’s NO with their first full length effort, they try to expole the Deathcore scene, as they state on the promo cd their basic influences for writing and play music is the Death Metal scene as well as the Hardcore / Metalcore scene.
\r\nOnly six tracks in the CD and the immature songwriting of the band is obvious. No can be heard in the same time as different bands, like the early Entombed (guitars) to
\r\nBullet for my Valentine, without no elements of their own.
\r\nUrskumug. A band which I do not know how far further it can go with such an name….Anyway, this here is a re-mastered version of their debut album, that was released in 2003. This time it is released via Haarbn Productions. Passover is an album of the bulk of those that are neither good, nor bad. This means that their music could enter in classic melodic Black Metal forms, with a lot of influences from Dimmu Borgir of the early years, but also of the recent ones.
\r\nA predicted release. From the artwork and only we know what we will hear and in particular we know that it will not go further that shit. I will not deal a lot with this album, because it is midday and all these bullshits that they have in their photographs will make me feel disgust. I do not know how many of you like Grindcore. Personally I cannot say that I am the biggest fan of the genre property, but sometimes I can hear some albums.
\r\nGroups that I hear from Poland, are at least interesting. This is also proved by Chain Reaction, a band that exists from 2002 but now released their debut. The album here is self-produced, thing that makes impression that such bands, would not supposed to be without a record deal. However, I am sure that Chain Reaction thanks to Vicious Circle will find soon find one. The first thing that impresses, is the exceptional sound, while immediately afterwards come amazing riffs to take out our head.
\r\nIt is not easy to draw conclusions from one only track. Instead of this, we can take an idea and become suspicious of what exactly we will hear in the future from an artist. Norra Morrel from Bulgaria is a singer who makes now her first steps, releasing this Single CD that contains a track, named Life In The Air. What we hear here is symphonic Power Metal as that of Nightwish and all similar groups. This composition does not have something to jealous about from those of other groups, but consequently is nothing unique.
Bay Area Thrash from Korea! This is what Mahatma provide us with their second effort “Perseverance” the continuing of their first album “The Endless Struggle Against Time” (2006)
\r\nAn Offering is the name of the third album from Canadians, Inner Surge, that apart from confused and drowned into chaos of their influences, are presented to us and enough amateur. With a first glance, the album make us believe that we have to make with something dark and atmospheric thanks to its black and cold artwork. The things however do not have any relation with such a thing. The band tries to combine Progressive sound with Nu Metal outbreaks and Hardcore influences. The result? Chaos and tiredness!
\r\nI admit that Dunghill confused me a little and this happened because even themselves are somehow tangled. With a first listening it seems that we have to make with a band, which does not take and a lot in serious and wants to have fun. After some listenings, it appears that on one hand this exists, but on the other hand they have also various beautiful elements in their music in which they do not hesitate to experiment. It is a band that presents us a mix of Heavy Rock, Alternative Rock/Metal, while there are not absent enough Hardcore influences.
\r\nNorway’s Doomsters Sahg, have returned after two years of silence with their second effort, simply entitled “Sahg II”. If some of you happened to have listened to the first album of the band “Sahg I”, I’m sure that you already know the abilities of the band that with this release states that is not just another doom metal band that would release a good album and then….nothing.
