\r\nI have the feeling that the Second strike of the Swedish Avatar will make a very good impression in the melodic Death Metal scene, or like we used to call it back at its beginning N.W.O.S.D.M. (New Wave Of Swedish Death Metal) or just “Göteborg scene”. Many founding bands of this scene forced to change their musical directions, due too “Progress” of success.
New album for the Death Metallers / Punk Crustcore –ers Disfear whose main man Thomas Lindberg (At The Gates, ex-Grotesque, Infestation, ex-Liers in Wait, Lock Up, ex-Nightrage, ex-The Crown, Ben-Hur, Conquest, Hide, ex-Skitsystem, The Great Deceiver, World Without End) seems to be in a great form, a couple of months before he released his project Dreamer Deceiver, announced along with the other members of At The Gates, the bands reunion and now is releasing with his band disfear, their new effort.
Too Pure To Die, from Iowa releasing their debut album from Trustkill records, a label that is a hardcore specialist, so Too Pure To Die couldn’t make the difference and their album “Confidence And Consequence” sounds to our ears like Pantera (“Vulgar Display Of Power” / “Far Beyond Driven” Era).
\r\nThe Album consists of ten compositions that own the sound and the music structure of Pantera, and the vocals are so close to Phill Anselmo one’s.
Here is the debut album of Brain Drill, who are soon going to win their place among the elite of technical Death Metal bands. Apocalyptic Feasting is harsh for the listener and it address to fans of technical and extreme sounds only. It’s a delirium of technicality, hate, speed, and inspiration which is made only by few nowadays. Their influences span from Dying Fetus to Vital Remains and Vile, but what they have accomplished is to create their own unique sound and play Death Metal / Grindcore through their own aspect.
\r\nNew album for the Swedish band Fatal Smile, the style of which is something between Hard Rock and Glam, though there are more elements from the first one. "World Domination" consists of 10 tracks and the album is out from Locomotive Records.
The New York’s This Is Hell have returned with their second effort, entitled “Misfortune” and continue their hardcore career after their first release back in 2006 entitles “Sundowning”
This is the debut album for Stonerider and their rock /hard rock influences are more than obvious. Heavy Influenced by groups like, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and The Cult, Stonerider tried to play a mixture of the music of these bands and they have managed it, with an pretty good production and many radio friendly choruses, that may stick in your mind for a few minutes.
\r\nSilence Followed By A Deafening Roar is the name of virtuoso Paul Gilbert (ex-Mr. Big, Racer X) new album. In this album we have a simple and usual situation. Our dear Mr. Paul offers a heavy dose of technical music which is purely instrumental. We talk about an album that everyone who wants to learn how to play the guitar and study the playing technics or everyone how likes Steve Vai , Joe Satriani etc. should own.
