\r\nI wanted this interview for a very long time since it is quite known my affection for this specific Greek band. Kawir one of the first black metal Greek bands has just released their new work "Ophiolatreia". With this occasion the founder and mainman of Kawir, Therthonax (former Mentor, guitar/vocals) accepted our request to discuss about the new album, the band’s plans regarding their live appearances, the upcoming split with Zemial, his other band, Kabeiros and their first forthcoming work and lots of other interesting topics.
After releasing their debut album "Bellowing Sea - Racked by Tempest", which is a pleasant surprise, In Lingua Mortua seems to be a very promising band from the legendary Norway. Metalzone conducted an interview with Lars Fredrik Frøislie (vintage keyboards, bass and vocal). \r\n
\r\nMetalzone: Firstly, I would like to thank you on behalf of metalzone for your time to give us this interview. To begin with, would you like to tell us about your new album? \r\n
Ben Jackson Group, featuring Crimson Glory ‘s guitarist Ben Jackson, after receiving very positive reviews for the albums “ Here I come” and “All Over You”, is working on the 3rd album, “Gold and Dragons” with Crimson Glory members as special guests once more . Metalzone conducted an interview with Ben and let’s see what he told us. \r\n
\r\nMetalzone: Hello Ben. Your new album “Gold and Dragons” is almost finished. Tell us a few things about it. \r\n
Just a few hours before his first perfomance in Greece, the new finnish vocalist of NIGHTRAGE, ANTONY HAMALAINEN gives us an exclusive interview about who he is and his cooperation with the Greek/Swedish Melodic Death band.
\r\nHe talks to metalzone about himself and how the core of Nightrage, Marios Iliopoulos trusted him as the new frontman.
\r\nHe tells us about his dream conserning Nightrage and how he plans to contribute to the band.
It seems like a lifetime since the first moment that I listened to his guitar playing and was impressed. Jeff Loomis is currently working on his personal album, soon to be released. Metalzone conducted an interview with him, and he talked about his music, himself, and, of course, about Nevermore. Ladies and gentlemen, here is what he told us: \r\n
\r\nMetalzone: You just returned from Los Angeles, where you played at this year’s NAMM show (National Association of Music Merchants) both Nevermore solos and instrumental stuff from your upcoming personal album.
First time I got acquainted with Shade Empire was back in 2004 with the release of their first full length album Sinthetic. Although I’m not the most diehard fan of symphonic black metal in the world, that album managed to capture my full approval almost immediately. The keyboards play a sovereign role in their music yet they are nothing but mellow or cheesy. Their sound is so energetic and melodic at the same time as a black metal band can be.
\r\nJust before the first Nightrage show in Athens \r\nElena Mihailidou and Vasilis Mazaris of Metalzone.gr had the chance to speak \r\nwith the mastermind of the band Marios Iliopoulos.
Metalzone: Well, First of All I want to congratulate you and the rest of the band for you first and latest release "ocean of illusions" Tell us a few words about shEver
\r\nRecently Elena Mihailidou did an interview with the Greek Death Metallers KINETIC maiman Savvas Betinis about the band’s new album Corrosion, their upcoming Hellenic tour, the accident their guitarist had, how easy it was to get a record deal and how difficult distribution and promotion is both outside Greece and within.
\r\nHe talks about the new elements he brought into their music with the female vocals and the keyboards but also their inspiration which comes straight from the heart.\r\n
